The previous Family Shield RSO status was under the Board for Congregation and District Services of the LCMS. The Board for Mission Services (LCMS World Mission) exists to strengthen congregations and their members in giving bold witness by word and deed to the love and work of God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and extend that Gospel witness into the world. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people fo God: once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy” (1 Peter 2:9-10).
