Family Shield Ministries, Inc.

THE MISSION

To educate and equip people, through the power of the Gospel, to know Christ, grow in His Word, and strengthen individuals and their families.

EVANGELISM AND FAMILY MINISTRY SERVICES

PhotoFamily Shield understands that family ministry is a tool for effective outreach! Whether people are churched or unchurched they care about their families. Each year Family Shield hears from over 300 unchurched and unsaved individuals. Building a positive relationship with them is critical. Much of the time, though, FSM staff and volunteers are helping Christians learn to share their faith and minister more effectively in the home, church, and their communities. Training others to witness is part of evangelism! Many of the radio listeners are those who receive the FSM e-mail newsletter or call/write us and ask for prayer for their family members, those they are trying to witness to, for advise and resources. FSM also receives many request for resources and advise from congregational Family Life Directors, and those who serve on the Board of Evangelism or Board of Education at their congregations.

A donor in Wisconsin told us recently that her congregation records and uses the Family Shield radio tapes on evangelism calls. They recognize that meeting needs helps them build positive relationships and gives them opportunities to share the law and Gospel. The Northern IL District of the LCMS People Ablaze Ministries publishes Kay Meyer's "The Great Commission" columns from the St. Louis Metro Voice newspaper on its website. These articles help Christians learn to share their faith in their daily life.
