Volunteer Opportunities

The following are volunteer opportunities that are currently available.

Prayer Partners
Prayer partners receive prayer requests on a regular basis through the e-mail newsletter and pray for FSM needs and the needs of those we serve. We also meet for prayer and lunch several times a year.

Fund Raisers/Special Events/Seminars

Fund Raising Dinner
We need volunteers for the annual dinner, plus volunteers to other aspects of the dinner.  Learn more about event under "Special Events." We currently have a prayer committee and a PR committee organizated for this event.

Trivia Night
Volunteers are needed to help with the annual Trivia Night. This is held each January in partnership with Our Lady's Inn.  

Speakers Bureau
Pastors and/or church professionals are needed to make presentations about Family Shield or preach at congregations and present Bible studies. See the buttom about the Speaker's Bureau to learn more.

PR-Congregational Liaisons
PR Liaisons assist us in publicizing the ministry, fund raisers, the radio program and other events within their congregation. Guests and topics are posted on the website each month and are available through the e-mail newsletter.

Counter-Cult Ministry
Counter-Cult Ministry and other Outreach Services. Limited ministry opportunities are available for Christians who want to work with ex-Jehovah's Witnesses or ex-Mormons and their families. We sometimes have need of individuals to lead individualized Bible studies with former Jehovah's Witnesses or family members. Other volunteers are needed to make telephone calls to family members of Witnesses who are lonely or need regular contact.

Volunteers who work directly with individuals we serve must go through a screening process.

Seminars/Exhibits
Periodically we need registration assistance for the seminars we present or someone who will serve at an exhibit.

General Office Work
Volunteers are needed to help with general office work. Most volunteers come to the office one-half day each week or every other week. Others come for special projects. The office is located at 3617 Texas Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri 63118.

Yard, Maintenance, and Cleaning
Yard work, general maintenance work, painting, and cleaning are needed on a periodic basis. We are currently looking for some volunteers who could paint the office and help Holy Cross in cleaning the yard area  during the summer months.
